WHAT A LONG STRANGE TRIP IT’S BEEN! ALSO, DEMORALIZING AND DESTRUCTIVE. ENOUGH! ENOUGH!
What a transition! From Halloween to the Mid-terms. I know which is the scariest to me. One has myth and mystery, one is painfully and embarrassingly real…while also encouraging and hopeful. We’ll know the results soon enough…and our community building/rebuilding work begins. We’ve had ENOUGH of the corruption, incompetence, fear-mongering, divisiveness, and willful dismissal of our laws and constitution by an unworthy cadre of greedy, manipulative “leaders” (grifters). Unfortunately and honestly, most of us are complicit by fault or default. ENOUGH! We’re now being given an amazing opportunity to redeem ourselves, rise to our occasion and honor the earlier heroes who built the strong foundation that we have greatly neglected in recent years. However, we know better, and our children deserve better… ENOUGH!
ENOUGH! TIME TO “A.W.A.K.E”…
A—ALL W—WOKE A—AND K—KIND to E—EVERYONE
ALL… That means EVERYONE, no exceptions…
WOKE… Thoughtful, intellectually curious, seek to be well-informed, eager to learn, glad to debate…all the characteristics that are a threat to the above “leaders”…
A…A kind and gentle connector
KIND…We can disagree, learn and compromise, while still being civil and kind. We should model kindness where possible in all human interactions (and with pets)…
EVERYONE…Now you know what that means…

Many of you have heard my “Mining Pan Story,” where, after my discovery, I realized the metaphor for many circumstances…that the pan can’t hold the larger nuggets until the hole is patched, it can only retain the gold dust at best…You translate and transpose the rest for your life, business, community and government…
IN CLOSING!
Most of us are some combination of angry, ashamed, embarrassed, exhausted, hopeful and scared. But, once again, we’re being given another chance to get this right, or at least greatly improved. To wrest this Country from those who could care less about character, collaboration, compromise and community. It’s up to each of us, starting with our friend in the mirror. I’m an optimist by nature, so will be seeking like-minded folks to join in the reclamation of this Country for better. The building blocks are still here. We just need to regain our confidence, open our hearts and minds, and model the behaviors necessary to be the best stewards of this treasured place we call America…HOME…
