We Allowed/Enabled The Bad Guys and Gals to Break our Country. Now We’ve Got To/Get To Fix It…Together…
We don’t have to look far to find the culprits…incompetent governance at every level, a Bi-Partisan Congress asleep at the wheel, DOGE/ICE, power-crazed grifters, a media catching up slowly, voter apathy, too few admirable leaders and too many of our Friends In The Mirror who’ve yet to rise to our/their occasion.
We May Be At The Turning Point. What Do We Do Now?
We need leadership! To whom do we turn? We’re tired of the fear-mongering, bluff and bluster, mean-spirited incompetence. WWJD? That means Jesus, not Jerry Jones. Or, in the spirit of diversity and inclusion, it could be WWTalaricoD, Taylor Swift, Ossoff, Barack/Michelle, Willie or Bad Bunny…We just want leaders with integrity, smarts, consummate people skills, compassion, good humor and a radiating kindness. The Mid-Terms will hopefully provide a healthy infusion of increased competence and experience to give us hope. If we’re blessed with encouraging candidates, we’ll be inspired to step up our efforts to realize our individual roles in their support.
Dolly and Ted Might Be a Great Place to Start…
We’re going to need time, talent, financial resources, community organizational experience, inclusive outreach, mental toughness and generous spirits. Role models for community building and rebuilding. Lasso and Parton represent all that, both real and imagined. It’s up to us to audit our strengths and pledge them to the community efforts. Dolly and Ted represent the best of personal efforts in service to others. Lots of hard work and achievement, tempered with compassion and love. Wouldn’t that be nice for a change? Time to be proud of We The People…I’m Encouraged…
