Wow! What a range of behaviors we're witnessing in the public arena. We can't help watching and there's no place to hide. The good news is that an increasing number of politicos, journalists and pundits are saying that the blame game, divisive rhetoric and nastiness have got to be dialed back. We can't have a healthy society and functional self-governance until we practice civility, collaboration and mutual respect. I refuse to accept that this can't be done. As usual, this begins with our friend in the mirror. LET'S MOSEY!

Obamacare, Trumpcare. Lots of rhetoric, lots of blame, few practical solutions. Too little effective political leadership, with sufficient bipartisan blame to go around. We've got to encourage the R's and D's to work together in the public interest. We deserve better, they owe us better. And they're getting excellent healthcare while they're creating a stalemate. Most of us have the ability to shift our personas to meet varying interpersonal circumstances. We can turn on the charm or toughen up as required. My sister and I naturally default to kind and gentle, but have both been in professional roles that required tougher personas. I've recently found myself swept up in too much snarky social media jousting, and I don't like me in that role. I'd rather join the many good folks who are community building, rather than spend more time tearing people down...with little to show for it. My latest Mosey Commentary outlines my rationale for reining in my lesser instincts. You might find this helpful, too. Come join me. LET'S MOSEY!

But, we can choose to have fun, see the humor in life and not take ourselves so seriously. This Mosey Commentary offers some suggestions as to how we might lighten up and liven up. Let's Mosey!

He believed in health, creative expression and community. Join me in the exploration of these goals for balanced living. LET'S MOSEY!

Trump's post-inaugural performance is somewhat gratifying to those who feared the worst, and greatly disappointing to many of his "base" who expected him to honor his campaign promises with more than mainly ineffective Executive Orders. This well-earned administrative dysfunction may give many of us the opportunity for a merciful intervention with family and friends who can't extricate themselves from this sinking ship. My Mosey Commentary suggests how we might address this challenge with civility and invitation, rather than snarkiness and gloating. Come join me and see what you think. LET'S MOSEY!
