A few years back I had a delightful encounter with members of the Red Hat Society. I’d been unfamiliar, but was charmed by their spirit as I shared their ferry shuttle between Seattle and Bainbridge Island. The rest is best captured by this toast and these observations…Enjoy!

It goes without saying, but I’ll say it. Our world, country and state are in crisis mode, but we can’t give up. We each must serve our communities as best we can, with whatever resources we’re able to share. I’ve realized that I must honor the aging and wear and tear on mind, body and spirit if I’m to best serve myself and those for whom I care. This is a constantly evolving process. Wishing us all good luck in our efforts!
